The hotel bus took us to the morning Kyoto Station, where I undertook the same reservation for the onward journey to Tokyo the next day. Next door is the Kyoto Tower Hotel with "built" tower, while not very high, but still offers very good views of the surrounding city and the numerous temples in the area.
